Minister Grabar-Kitarović received delegation from Bundestag’s EU Affairs Committee

Minister Grabar-Kitarović informed the delegation about the important foreign policy topics and Croatia’s efforts on its road to Euro-Atlantic integration. She thanked Germany for the support it has been offering to Croatia, pointing out that Croatia has traditionally had very good and friendly relations with Germany as its main European partner, evident in the number of the bilateral agreements signed between the two countries (40 agreements and acts, 25 of which are in effect). Another example of excellent co-operation are the two commissions: the Permanent Croatian-Bavarian Commission and the mixed Croatian-Baden-Würtemberg Commission.

Minister Grabar-Kitarović also pointed out that Croatia, as a responsible member of the international community and an EU partner, will continue to play a constructive role in the further democratisation and stabilisation of the South East Europe. Croatia has clearly decided on enhancing the bilateral relations with all of its neighbours.

Answering the representatives’ questions, Minister Grabar-Kitarović informed them in detail about the regional co-operation process, stressing that as of may this year, Croatia will be chairing the SEECP that, apart from regional co-operation, places special importance on fighting organised crime and corruption, trade and visa regime liberalisation, and co-operation in the European integration process.
