Minister Grabar-Kitarović participated in “NATO Membership Experiences” conference

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović participated in the “NATO Membership Experiences” conference, held on 22 October 2007 in Zagreb

The meeting was jointly initiated and organised by the embassies of Denmark, Hungary and Lithuania to Croatia, as NATO members and countries demographically similar to Croatia and, therefore, possessing experiences applicable to Croatia’s Euro-Atlantic accession process.

In her speech, Minister Grabar-Kitarović pointed out that Croatia shares the view that the EU and NATO are mutually complementing, spreading security and prosperity on all its members. NATO, said Minister Grabar-Kitarović, as an alliance of nations sharing the same fundamental values and interests – respect for human rights, liberal democracy, protection of rights and freedoms, tolerance, solidarity, market economy, through joint and co-ordinated activities promotes and protects the common values and ensures international peace and stability.

Along with the representatives of the countries that organised the meeting, the discussions also saw the participation of NATO representatives.
