Minister Grabar-Kitarović met with Western Australia’s Culture Minister Ljiljana Ravlić

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, who is on a working visit to Australia, met 7 November 2005 in Perth with Minister for Culture of the Western Australia’s Government, Ljiljana Ravlić

Minister Grabar-Kitarović congratulated Minister Ravlić on her election to the Western Australia’s Government, as the first non-Australian-born minister to enter the Government, and thanked her for her interest in Croatia and the strengthening of the bilateral relations between the two countries.

Minister Ravlić expressed her interest in the strengthening of the economic co-operation, offering concrete technical assistance, both in economy and education. She proposed a student exchange system be set up between the two countries, which would contribute to the reinforcement of cultural and informal ties between our citizens.

During her stay in Perth, Minister Grabar-Kitarović met in the Croatian Center in North Fremantle with the representatives of the Croatian community, informing them about the current political situation in Croatia, with a special emphasis on the process of acceding to the EU.
