Minister Grabar-Kitarović held bilateral meetings at margins of 13th OSCE Ministerial Council meeting

Ministers Grabar-Kitarović and Lavrov concluded that the bilateral relations between the two countries are good and on the rise. The two discussed their countries’ foreign policy priorities and the possibilities of co-operation in multilateral organisations. They also pointed out the possibilities of increasing the economic co-operation between the two countries.

Minister Grabar-Kitarović informed Minister Lavrov about Croatia’s efforts in the European integration process and its relations with the neighbours.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Lavrov invited Minister Grabar-Kitarović to officially visit the Russian Federation.

Minister Grabar-Kitarović and Minister of State Treacy exchanged the two countries’ experiences in acceding to the EU. Grabar-Kitarović familiarised Treacy with the Croatian Government’s activities in informing the Croatian public about the process of EU accession, pointing out that it is the Government’s wish that, at the ascension referendum, the Croatian citizens reach a decision based on objective information.

Minister Grabar-Kitarović and State Secretary Berardi stressed the good relations between the two countries, especially in tourism co-operation. State Secretary Berardi especially pointed out the good relations between the Republic of San Marino and the City of Rab, and expressed hope for the continuation of good co-operation between the two countries.

Minister Grabar-Kitarović and Undersecretary of State Burns talked about the bilateral relations between Croatia and the US, relations in the South Eastern Europe, and the pending visit by Minister Grabar-Kitarović to Afghanistan.
