Minister Grabar-Kitarović held a meeting with the Diplomatic Corps representatives accredited to Croatia at the MFAEI
On July 4, 2006 Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović held a meeting with the Diplomatic Corps representatives accredited to Croatia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration
Minister Grabar-Kitarović took the opportunity to point out that the Republic of Croatia is the first state candidate that NATO has entrusted with role of leading country in one NATO project, which is a clear sign that the Republic of Croatia is already seen as a future member that is ready to contribute to international and regional security.
Minister Grabar-Kitarović emphasized that the Croatian progress towards the Euroatlantic integration doesn't mean that the Republic of Croatia is turning its back to the Southeastern Europe. The initiation of the Foundation for Bosnia and Herzegovina which by the Republic of Croatia is taking over its part of responsability for the stability in the region approves Minister's statment. This is also a step forward that opens European and Euroatlantic perspective for the entire Southeastern Europe.
The Goverment of the Republic of Croatia decided to give a donation of 100.00 euros to NATO's Foundation for Bosnia and Herzegovina that will help the integration of about 6000 detached personnel from the defense system into civil society. The project's total worth, the implementation of which will last for 3 years, is about 8 million euros.
