Minister Gordan Jandroković received Serbian Ambassador Radivoj Cvetićanin

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandroković received 5 November 2008 Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia Radivoj Cvetićanin, who has been reinstated after seven months

The Minister expressed satisfaction with Serbia’s approval of the new Croatian ambassador in Belgrade, as well as with the return of Ambassador Cvetićanin to Croatia, which he described as a good basis for the enhancement of the interstate relations.

Minister Jandroković said that Croatia has recognized Kosovo as an act of political reality and that it should not present an obstacle in developing and enhancing the bilateral relations between Croatia and Serbia.

Minister Jandroković also said that Croatia, to the end of further building the good-neighbourly relations, supports the accession of Serbia and all other region’s countries to the EU, once the criteria have been met. In that regard, he pointed out Croatia’s openness to assist in the accession processes.

The meeting also discussed the possibilities of further enhancing the cooperation in economy, protection and realization of national minority rights, as well as the inter-parliamentary cooperation.
