The collocutors agreed that friendly and good-neighbourly relations on all levels were of mutual and lasting interest to both countries.

They expressed satisfaction over today’s coming into effect of the Arbitration Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, describing it as an important mutual success and an impetus for further successful cooperation.

They agreed that the positive trend in the two countries’ relations should be used to strengthen the economic cooperation and realize investment projects, as well as joint appearances and projects on other markets. In that regard, they discussed the two countries’ joint appearance at Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea and exchanged opinions on the goals.

Minister Jandroković informed Ambassador Volk about the course of Croatia’s EU negotiations and expressed hope for Slovenia’s support, pointing out that Croatia had entered the final phase of the negotiations.

The collocutors also discussed the current political events in South Eastern Europe, emphasizing that the region’s sustainable stability is the priority of both Croatia and Slovenia. They confirmed that the two countries supported the Euro-Atlantic perspective of the countries in the region.
