The collocutors expressed satisfaction with the two countries’ very good bilateral relations, as confirmed by a series of highest-level interstate visits.

The meeting also discussed the possibilities of cooperation in economy, as well as all other projects of mutual interest. As a confirmation of the successful economic cooperation development, the collocutors pointed out this week’s choice of a Croatian construction consortium for a highway building in Montenegro.

Ambassador Lukovac commended Croatia’s progress in the processes of its accession to the Euro-Atlantic structures. Minister Jandroković emphasized Croatia’s willingness to assist Montenegro on its path to the EU and NATO, as evident from the last year’s support for Montenegro’s joining the US-Adriatic Charter.

Lastly, Minister Jandroković said that the two countries, having agreed to solve their border issue before the International Court of Justice in The Hague, serve as an example of solving bilateral issues the European way, in accordance with the international law.
