Minister Jandroković congratulated Commissioner Lee for the election of Yeosu as the host city for the 2012 World Expo

Minister Jandroković congratulated Commissioner Lee for the election of Yeosu as the host city for the 2012 World Expo.

Recalling his recent official visit to the Republic of Korea, Minister Jandroković expressed satisfaction with the quality and friendly bilateral relations between the two countries, pointing out the interest to intensify the economic cooperation. He noted as especially positive the growing number of Korean tourists, which in the first six months of the year has increased by 74% in relation to the same period 2009.

Commissioner Lee said that the theme of Expo 2012 would be “The Living Ocean and Coast”, pointing out that 68 countries had so far confirmed their appearance. He took the opportunity to invite Croatia to participate as well.

Conclusively, Minister Jandroković wished success in the organizing of Expo 2012 Yeosu.
