Minister Gordan Jandroković received European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee delegation
Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandroković received on 6 February 2008 the delegation of the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, which is on a visit to the Republic of Croatia
Minister Jandroković informed the delegation members about the reforms Croatia is conducting with the aim of joining the EU, particularly in areas of justice, public administration and administrative capacities for managing the EU funds’ resources. He also familiarised the other side with the present state of Croatia’s accession negotiations. The European parliamentarians expressed support for Croatia’s full EU membership, with a wish for the Parliament in this very composition to give its consent to Croatia’s accession agreement.
The delegation, headed by Vice-Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Ioan Mirca Pascu (the Party of European Socialists, Romania), also consists of Vice-Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee and European Parliament’s Rapporteur for Croatia Hannes Swoboda (the Party of European Socialists, Austria), Adam Bielan (the Union for a Europe of Nations, Poland), Giulietto Chiesa (the Party of European Socialists, Italy), István Szent-Iványi (the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe, Hungary), Marcello Vernola (the European People's Party and European Democrats, Italy), and member of the Joint Croatia-EU Parliamentary Committee Michl Ebner (the European People's Party and European Democrats, Italy).
