Minister Gordan Jandroković received delegation of Turkish Grand National Assembly’s Foreign Affairs Committee
Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandroković received 15 July 2008 the delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Republic of Turkey’s Grand National Assembly, led by its Chairman Murat Mercan
The meeting discussed the pivotal topics in both countries’ foreign-policy goals, namely the EU accession, co-operation within NATO, and regional co-operation in South Eastern Europe.
Minister Jandroković pointed out that Croatia’s NATO membership strengthens and contributes to the stability of South Eastern Europe, thanking for Turkey’s active and continuous support for Croatia’s NATO accession. Chairman Mercan said Turkey wishes to be among the first members of the Alliance to ratify the Protocol on Croatia’s accession.
The collocutors reviewed the bilateral relations, as well as the possibility of their further strengthening, with an emphasis on the deepening of the economic relations. Same as on earlier occasions, both sides expressed their countries’ readiness to co-operate in the EU accession process.
