Minister Gordan Jandroković participated in ministerial meeting of US-Adriatic Charter

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandroković, who is together with Prime Minister Ivo Sanader on a visit to New York for the 63rd session of the UN General Assembly, participated yesterday in the ministerial meeting of the US-Adriatic Charter

At the meeting, representatives of the US-Adriatic Charter member countries reached a decision to extend a membership invitation to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, firmly believing their joining the Charter will further solidify the co-operation among and the progress of the region’s countries towards the Euro-Atlantic integration.

In a press statement, Minister Jandroković pointed out that Croatia greatly appreciates the members’ co-operation and activities they undertake within the Charter. He added that Croatia supports the Charter’s enlargement to other countries of South Eastern Europe, to the end of a general stability in the region.

On the margins of the UN Security Council’s session, Minister Jandroković met with Costa Rican Foreign Minister Bruno Stagno Ugarte and Philippine Foreign Minister Alberto Gatmaitan Romulo. The meetings reviewed the possibilities of bilateral relations development, as well as the forms of future co-operation. Minister Jandroković invited the ministers to visit Croatia.
