Minister Gordan Jandroković met on margins of UN General Assembly’s 65th session with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov

The ministers described the two countries’ bilateral relations as very good and concluded that the decision to open the Azerbaijani embassy in Croatia would have a positive effect on the further development of the relations in all of the areas, especially economy

The ministers described the two countries’ bilateral relations as very good and concluded that the decision to open the Azerbaijani embassy in Croatia would have a positive effect on the further development of the relations in all of the areas, especially economy.

The ministers also expressed willingness to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries’ foreign ministries as well, by holding regular political consultations.

Minister Jandroković communicated the interest on the part of Croatian businessmen in a tighter cooperation and better familiarity with the Azerbaijani partners and the situation in Azerbaijani economy. Consequently, the ministers concluded that it was necessary to expand the two countries’ legal and contractual basis, especially in terms of agreements that would facilitate the economic cooperation.

Ministers Jandroković and Mammadyarov also informed each other about the current political situation in South Eastern Europe and Caucasus respectively.
