Minister Gordan Jandroković met in Umag with BiH Foreign Minister Sven Alkalaj

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandroković met 19 July 2008 in Umag with Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sven Alkalaj

Ministers Jandroković and Alkalaj reviewed the development of bilateral relations between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, describing them as very good and friendly. They also talked about the outstanding issues and showed readiness for their swift resolution.

Reviewing the current state of affairs in South Eastern Europe, the two ministers agreed that the Euro-Atlantic perspective of all the countries in the region is the best way to ensure a lasting peace and stability in this part of Europe.

Minister Jandroković pointed out that Croatia would continue to transfer its experience to Bosnia and Herzegovina, assisting it along its way to the Euro-Atlantic integration. He added that full EU membership is the best framework for a long-term development and, together with NATO membership, represents a guarantee of stability, security and prosperity of both Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
