Minister Gordan Jandroković met during working visit to Hungary with Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány, Parliament’s Speaker Katalin Szili, and Foreign Minister Kinga Göncz
Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandroković paid a working visit on 21 February 2008 to the Republic of Hungary, meeting separately with Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány, Parliament’s Speaker Katalin Szili, and Foreign Minister Kinga Göncz
Minister Jandroković and Minister Göncz described the relations between Croatia and Hungary as excellent and with no outstanding issues, traditionally unfolding in the spirit of friendship and all-level co-operation. Both sides’ satisfaction with the bilateral relations is also confirmed by the two countries’ strategic partnership, as evidenced by the excellent political, economic, cultural, and cross-border co-operation, as well as in the co-operation in mutual protection of minorities.
Minister Jandroković informed the Hungarian side about the course of Croatia’s EU and NATO accession negotiations, thanking Hungary for its strong support and willingness to transfer its experience in the process. The two ministers also reviewed the current state of affairs in South Eastern Europe, as well as the modalities of the two countries’ co-operation in the multilateral field.
During his stay in Budapest, Minister Jandroković also met with representatives of the Croatian minority in the Republic of Hungary.
