MFAEI organized 6th session of Diplomatic-Economic Club as part of GAST 2008

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration organized the 6th session of the Diplomatic-Economic Club, that was held as a part of the GAST 2008 International Fair on 6 March 2008 in Split

In co-operation with the organiser, the Sajam Split company, and host, the Splitsko-Dalmatinska County and the County’s Croatian Chamber of Commerce, the MFAEI’s Directorate for International Economic Co-operation organised the 6th session of the Diplomatic-Economic Club, a manifestation that has traditionally taken place since 1998 under the auspices of the MFAEI. The session was opened by Assistant Minister at the Directorate for International Economic Co-operation Andrea Gustović Ercegovac and Splitsko-Dalmatinska County Head Ante Sanader, as well as the representatives of the GAST 2008 Fair and the City of Split.

The representatives of 18 diplomatic-consular and commerce offices accredited to Croatia, including the ambassadors of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Indonesia, Korea, Slovakia, and Ukraine, were familiarized with the characteristics of Croatia’s investment potential, terms of investment, and the possibilities of co-operation with the Croatian partners. The session also discussed the economic potential of the Splitsko-Dalmatinska County and tourism as the determining characteristic of its development, the development potential of the City of Split, and the vine production in Croatia.

After the end of the session, the participants visited the Podi entrepreneurial zone in Dugopolje, where they were informed about its entrepreneurial activities and the possibilities of co-operation.
