MFAEI lodges strong protest with Serbian MFA over selling of Mirna Trgovina property

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration lodged through the Croatian Embassy in Belgrade a strong protest with the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs over the selling of Mirna Trgovina’s property. It is a company owned by the Croatian company Mirna Ltd. from Rovinj, that was illegally sold at a public auction held 25 July 2008 at the Serbian Privatization Agency

The protest note reads that the a note has already been lodged with the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, calling for the cancellation of the disputed Decree on the Amendments to the Decree on the Protection of the Property of the Parts of Companies Headquartered in Ex-SFRY Republics, based on which the company was sold.

The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is asked to familiarise the relevant Serbian bodies with the contents of the note, in order for the disputed Decree to be put out of effect and its consequences remedied, thereby cancelling said sale.
