MFAEI Diplomatic Academy and UNA Croatia, under auspices of US Embassy to Croatia, launched two-month educational program “UN Academy”

The program was opened with remarks by MFAEI State Secretary for Political Affairs Mario Nobilo, Diplomatic Academy Director Mladen Andrlić and UNA Croatia President Joško Klisović.

The 25 attendees, selected among more than 200 applicants, will have the chance to familiarize themselves further with the UN system, its role in international relations and importance in dealing with the global challenges of today, such as maintaining international peace and security, fighting poverty, affirming human rights and other topics. The general part of the program, offering insight into the basic structure and bodies of the UN, is a special lecture block dedicated to the role of the UN in combating climate changes, one of today’s most important issues.

The lectures include Croatia’s leading experts and authorities on international relations, with a rich experience in working with the UN.
