Inaugural visit from Portuguese Ambassador Maria Manuel Durão

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman received the Ambassador of the Portuguese Republic to the Republic of Croatia, Maria Manuel Quintela Batista Durão, for inaugural visit on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
 
During the discussion, mutual satisfaction was expressed regarding the close and friendly relations between Croatia and Portugal, along with a shared desire to further strengthen bilateral ties through the increased exchange of high-level official visits.
 
Particular emphasis was placed on the potential for cooperation in the areas of economy, culture, and language. The possibility of soon concluding a Cooperation Program between the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the Government of the Portuguese Republic in the fields of language, education and science, culture, sports, and youth for the 2024-2027 period was welcomed.
 
Grlić Radman also expressed gratitude for Portugal's support for Croatia's accession to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Opportunities for enhancing economic and trade cooperation between the two countries were also highlighted.
