Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman on Friday received an inaugural visit from Hungarian Ambassador Csaba Demcsák.

The two officials underlined very good cooperation in the areas of economy, culture, science, education and diplomatic training, as well as cross-border cooperation. The promotion and protection of national minorities is also at a very high level. 

In addition, Grlić Radman and Demcsák underscored desire for intensifying bilateral cooperation and continuing the cooperation on European and other topics, reflecting on the current status of the coronavirus pandemic. Grlić Radman stressed the importance of nurturing good-neighbourly cooperation in these complex circumstances. 

The minister took the opportunity to thank Hungary for its cooperation during the Croatian EU presidency and to once again express gratitude for its donation of protective and medical equipment, as well as for the humanitarian assistance in the wake of the Zagreb earthquake.
