From 15-18 June 2008 in Linz, under the Austrian chairmanship, the Task Force for International Cooperation on Holocaust Education, Remembrance, and Research held its regular plenary session. It is an international organisation gathering government representatives and experts from 25 countries dealing with the Holocaust issues. Croatia has been a permanent member since 2005, and the Croatian national delegation regularly participates in its plenary sessions.
The delegation was led by Assistant Minister Mirjana Bohanec Vidović, and consisted of Alida Matković, Nataša Jovičić, Mario Jareb and Robert Skenderović. The Croatian experts are especially active in the subgroup activities. Taking part in the Linz session, the Croatian representatives held a number of meeting with the representatives of the world’s leading institutions on Holocaust, such as the Washington Holocaust Memorial Museum, confirming the good co-operation of the Croatian delegation and the Public Institution Memorial Area Jasenovac with these institutions.
During their stay in Linz, the participants visited the memorial area of the former Nazi concentration camp in Mauthausen.
