On her last day in Hong Kong, which wrapped up her official visit to China, Minister Pusić held separate talks with Chief Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Tourism Andrew H. Y. Wong and Chief Secretary for Administration Carrie Lam.

China and the whole Asia is a growing market and Hong Kong is a duty free port, so companies have many reliefs and concessions, Wong said. Pusić presented Croatia's potentials in terms of location and road infrastructure, which make it an entry point to Central and Southeast Europe, which is crucial for the development of economic relations as well as tourism.

Deputy Minister Joško Klisović presented concrete projects and legislation for attracting investments. The interlocutors expressed great interest in tourism, notably Croatian wines. The wine business has been experiencing a boom in Hong Kong and was the key topic of the meeting with Lam.

All of the talks in Hong Kong focused on the development of tourism in Croatia, notably cruises, guests and product. Chinese hosts consider Croatia's EU membership a big advantage and a big chance for bilateral cooperation.

Before returning to Croatia, Minister Pusić is to visit Lingnan University and deliver a lecture on the political transition models in Europe.
