Government donates 310,000 vaccine doses to six countries

At its 65th session on Thursday, the Croatian Government adopted a decision to donate 310,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Kyrgyzstan

At its 65th session on Thursday, the Croatian Government adopted a decision to donate 310,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Kyrgyzstan. Participating in the session on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs was State Secretary for Europe Andreja Metelko-Zgombić.

“All of these countries are experiencing serious fallout from COVID-19, with overburdened health systems, impacting social and economic circumstances. Croatia is committed to supporting the development and stability of our immediate neighbourhood through development and humanitarian aid mechanisms. Kyrgyzstan has also requested immediate assistance due to the difficult situation in the country,” the state secretary said.  

By donating 310,000 doses of vaccine, Croatia is contributing to the European and global efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19.
