The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs condemns the incident in St Paul’s Church in Munich during a Croatian Mass held by priests of the Croatian Catholic parish.
Police confirmed that this was not a terrorist attack, as the perpetrator was a mentally ill person who was hospitalised after being arrested. Twenty-five Croatian nationals sustained light injuries. Police stepped up security around the churches where Mass was celebrated in Croatian.
