Foreign Minister Vesna Pusić met with Serbian Ambassador to Croatia Stanimir Vukićević

The collocutors expressed belief in the contained building of good-neighbourly relations in all the areas of mutual interest. They also stressed the importance of continuing to solve outstanding issues from the past, agreeing that they should be dealt with on bilateral level whenever possible. They singled out the issue of identifying missing persons and expressed support for resolving said issue as quickly as possible.

Pusić and Vukićević also agreed that recently cooperation had seen significant progress in certain areas, especially in fighting corruption and cross-border crime.

Minister Pusić communicated Croatia’s willingness as an EU acceding country to assist through its experience with the accession process all of the countries in the region, including Serbia, along their Euro-integration path.

Ambassador Vukićević congratulated Minister Pusić on her appointment to the new position and welcomed the announcement of her official visit to Belgrade at the end of the month.
