Foreign and European Affairs Minister Gordan Grlić Radman on Friday talked over the phone with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
Grlić Radman familiarized his Azerbaijani counterpart with the measures the Croatian Government has taken to contain the COVID-19 outbreak as well as the measures announced for jump-starting economic and other services and activities. The two ministers exchanged views on the additional steps Croatia and Azerbaijan are taking to curtail the pandemic. They underscored support and solidarity in the fight against this global threat.
In addition, Grlić Radman relayed Croatia's thoughts and plans for the future of the Eastern Partnership, an initiative that also includes Azerbaijan.
Mammadyarov invited his Croatian counterpart to visit Baku as soon as circumstances permit.
