FM Pejčinović Burić receives TBMM EU Harmonization Committee delegation

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Marija Pejčinović Burić 12 April 2018 received a delegation from the EU Harmonization Committee of Turkey’s Grand National Assembly, led by its chairman Mehmet Kasim Gülpinar.

Both sides underlined good bilateral relations, singling out great potential for the strengthening of economic cooperation. The Turkish side highlighted Turkey’s support for Croatia’s OECD membership. Also discussed was the situation in Southeast Europe and the EU-Turkey relations.

Pejčinović Burić reported on the upcoming Croatian presidency over the Council of Europe and preparations for the Council of the EU presidency in the first half of 2020. She underscored the importance of the EU’s dialogue with Turkey as a vital partner in many areas of mutual interest.
