FM Pejčinović Burić receives RCC Secretary General Bregu

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Marija Pejčinović Burić 18 April 2019 met with the Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), Majlinda Bregu.

Pejčinović Burić congratulated Bregu on taking over the duty of the RCC secretary general for the three-year period, starting 1 January 2019. The two officials discussed the expected results and goals of the Multiannual Action Plan for the Regional Economic Area (MAP REA), which will be presented at the Berlin Process summit in Poznan in July.

The meeting also focused on Croatia’s 2020 EU presidency, one of whose priorities will be continued enlargement.

The Croatian side voiced support for the RCC activities in the implementation of projects supporting regional cooperation, as well as social and economic development of Southeast European countries and their EU integration.
