FM Pejčinović Burić officially visits San Marino

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Marija Pejčinović Burić 14 June 2019 visited San Marino. This was the first official visit by a Croatian foreign minister to San Marino since the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations.

Pejčinović Burić met with the Minister of Foreign and Political Affairs and Judiciary, Nicola Renzi, and visited the Grand and General Council of San Marino.

The Croatian FM and her host voiced satisfaction with bilateral relations, which are based on close historical ties. They talked about deepening the bilateral cooperation in the economy, tourism and culture.

Pejčinović Burić and Renzi discussed topical European matters, San Marino’s EU accession and Croatia’s upcoming Council of the EU presidency.

They also talked about the importance of regional cooperation, with Pejčinović Burić welcoming San Marino’s recent joining the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative.
