Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Marija Pejčinović Burić attended as a member of Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović’s delegation a trilateral meeting of the presidents of Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, joined by the respective countries’ foreign ministers, held 6 March 2018 in Mostar.

The participants discussed the European Commission’s Strategy for the Western Balkans, which sends a clear message about the EU membership prospects and points out priority areas. In that regard, they discussed stepping up engagement to create preconditions for brining Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia closer to the EU. Croatia is supportive of that and wants the European integration process to continue.

The delegations also talked about some of the outstanding issues as well as areas where cooperation could be strengthened, such as transport infrastructure. Continued development of transport connections between the three countries can contribute to stronger ties in the areas of industrial cooperation, IT, food industry and so on, thus aiding further development of economic cooperation.
