Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Marija Pejčinović Burić 5 December in Brussels attended a working meeting of the EU foreign ministers and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

The discussion covered global challenges such as Iran and North Korea and their nuclear programmes, the Middle East, relations with Russia, and the situation in Ukraine. Also talked about were the joint US-EU efforts to strengthen energy diversification by supporting interconnectivity projects and building infrastructure, including LNG.

Pejčinović Burić mentioned the situation in Southeast Europe, underscoring the importance of cooperation and joint engagement by the EU and US in the region.
