FM meets with North Macedonia deputy PM

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Marija Pejčinović Burić 28 May 2019 met with North Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs and chief negotiator with the EU, Bujar Osmani.

The two officials expressed satisfaction with the bilateral relations and friendly cooperation in various areas. Pejčinović Burić underscored that Croatia remains a reliable partner to North Macedonia, to which it continually provides political and technical support in its Euro-Atlantic integration.

Pejčinović Burić and Osmani discussed Croatia’s successful support to North Macedonia through twinning projects as well as future cooperation aimed at strengthening North Macedonia’s public administration and preparations for EU membership talks.

The Croatian FM reiterated that Croatia would continue to strongly advocate making further steps in North Macedonia’s EU accession.
