Domestic and foreign experts discuss sustainable development

Assistant Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Batistić Kos opened Dubrovnik Regional Expert Meeting on Linking UN Sciences and Policies

Assistant Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Batistić Kos opened Dubrovnik Regional Expert Meeting on Linking UN Sciences and Policies, a two-day gathering co-organized by the UN and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Croatia as a host, sponsored by the Centre of Excellence.

The meeting aims as identifying the main scientifically-based challenges of sustainable development from the Mediterranean perspective, to be entered into the UN Global Sustainable Development Report. Participants include international experts, representatives of civil society, international organizations and scientific institutes, who will discuss the challenges of sustainable development. The meeting should also prompt the setting up of a network of scientific associates, who would have a proactive role in creating sustainable development policies.
