Diplomatic Academy held presentation of project Diplomatic Academy Online – Knowledge Base

Present at the presentation of this project, which corresponds to the Croatian Government’s efforts for Croatia to become a country of knowledge, was the State Secretary for Organisation, Development and Management, Vera Varga, who positively reviewed the project. In his opening speech, Academy’s Dean Petar Turčinović pointed out that this new “distance learning” project is meant to care for the diplomats, both at home and abroad. The project’s author Daniel Miščin stressed that the Academy’s new e-learning portal meets the world’s highest standards and was developed in co-operation with the Canadian University of British Columbia, one of the world’s leading universities in the e-learning technology.

The aim of this portal is to provide a lifelong education to all participants of the education process, with no spatial or time boundaries, fully adjusted to their schedule and obligations. Wherever they are, the ODA would at any time provide access to the relevant segments of knowledge, whether it’s text, audio or visual record of the seminars, virtual working groups, or other educational multimedia content.
