Ambassador Tamura presented the letter of gratitude from the Japanese to the Croatian government for the assistance following the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

He outlined the current situation in Japan, especially regarding the Fukushima nuclear power plant and the activities to alleviate the consequences of the earthquake and tsunami, as well as the efforts of the Japanese authorities to inform the Japanese and foreign citizens in a timely manner about the development of events.

Ambassador Tamura thanked the Croatian citizens for their condolences and visits to the Embassy of Japan, during which they signed the condolence book.

Finally, Minister Jandroković once again expressed his deepest condolences and solidarity to the people and government of Japan.
