The collocutors described the two countries’ relations as excellent, their development in all fields of mutual interest being strengthened by strategic partnership as well. The only thing that could stand to be improved, they agreed, was economic cooperation.

The parliamentary relations were also described as excellent, as proven by the large number of visits and contacts by the two countries’ parliamentarians in the previous two years, including visits at the highest level. The collocutors also pointed out the important role of the two countries’ parliamentary cooperation played during Croatia’s EU accession negotiations.

Jandroković informed Bloche about the Croatian government’s activities aimed at concluding the negotiations by the end of the Hungarian EU presidency. He thanked at that for the support France was showing Croatia.

France-Croatia Friendship Group President Bloche expressed full support for closing the negotiation as soon as possible and applauded the reforms the Croatian government had implemented during the Euro-integration process.
