Deputy Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Joško Klisović 6 September in Dubrovnik attended the 12th international conference of the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR) on stimulating investment, held under the auspices of the Croatian government. Three hundred odd exporters, representatives of business associations, international financial institutions and banks discussed the prospects of strengthening Croatian export, namely the challenges of financing investment in times of crisis. In his opening remarks, Klisović said the Croatian diplomacy shared the government’s commitment to its number one priority – a speedy and sustainable economic recovery, and would do everything it could to contribute to its realization by launching a modern and efficient system of economic diplomacy later this month, whose first task will be to offer maximum support to Croatian export. Klisović outlined the main elements of the system, including receiving information on export opportunities from the embassies and the possibility of reporting trade barriers on the MFEA website.
