Davor Božinović, Croatian Ambassador to NATO met on Wednesday, 4 June 2008, with General John Craddock, Supreme Allied Commander Europe

Ambassador Božinović expressed Croatia's readiness for further contribution to international security and stability and he informed General Craddock on Croatia's participation in NATO operations, particularly in the ISAF operation in Afghanistan and in 13 other UN missions.

General Craddock welcomed Croatia's contribution to NATO operations and UN and EU missions, in which Croatian forces showed great abilities. He expressed his opinion that the Republic of Croatia had already fulfilled all the military criteria for NATO membership and that, from the military point of view, it is already acting as an Alliance member.

Ambassador Božinović and General Craddock then discussed modern security trends and the future transformation of armed forces of NATO member countries with the purpose of responding to new security challenges.
