Croatian, Serbian coordinators for outstanding issues hold second meeting

Pursuant to the agreement reached at the first meeting 30 November 2017 in Belgrade, coordinators for outstanding issues between Croatia and Serbia met for the second time

Pursuant to the agreement reached at the first meeting 30 November 2017 in Belgrade, coordinators for outstanding issues between Croatia and Serbia, Croatian Assistant Foreign and European Affairs Minister Boris Grigić and Serbian Foreign Ministry State Secretary Nemanja Stevanović, met for the second time 8 February 2018 in Zagreb.

The two officials discussed the activities undertaken since the Belgrade meeting by joint committees in charge of dealing with outstanding issues such as the status of respective minorities, border, imprisoned and missing persons, restitution of cultural goods, economic cooperation, judicial cooperation and succession. Both sides agreed that encouraging progress had been made over the past two months. To further speed up the resolving of outstanding issues, the coordinators agreed on several recommendations aimed at facilitating the work of joint committees in charge of dealing with individual outstanding issues.

Grigić and Stevanović agreed to hold their next meeting in Belgrade in the second half of May.
