Croatian Foreign Minister Miomir Žužul met today, 26 April 2004, with the Bulgarian Minister for European Integrations Meglena Kuneva at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Zagreb, as a part of Mrs Kuneva’s visit to Croatia
Both ministers expressed their satisfaction with the good bilateral relations with no open issues that exist between the two countries. Minister Žužul informed Minister Kuneva about Croatia’s efforts to join the EU and about getting a positive Opinion from the European Commission. Minister Kuneva congratulated Minister Žužul on the achieved results in approaching the EU and expressed the readiness to share Bulgaria’s experiences in joining the Euro-Atlantic integrations. The Bulgarian Minister offered co-operation on all levels and on all issues that Croatia finds interesting. Minister Žužul expressed his gratitude for the help offered, pointing out that Bulgaria’s experiences will be extremely useful to Croatia, and added that Croatia expects the Council of the European Union’s decision on Croatia’s status as an EU candidate in June this year.
