Croatian Foreign Minister Miomir Žužul had today, 3 June 2004, in Zagreb, a working meeting with the Secretary General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Belgium, Jan Grauls
Žužul and Grauls talked about the forthcoming meeting of the European Council 17-18 June in Bruxelles, and about Belgium’s support to Croatia regarding its receiving the candidate status and the start of the negotiation for full EU membership. Minister Žužul and Secretary General Grauls also discussed the situation in the region. Present at the working meeting were Croatian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium Ljerka Alajbeg, Belgian Ambassador to the Republic of Croatia Jehanne Roccas, and the Head of the Division for Southeast Europe of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a Special Envoy of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Balkans, Alexis Brouhns.
