Croatian and Norwegian foreign ministries signed Memorandum of Understanding

The Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs signed on 22 October 2007 at the MFAEI the Memorandum of Understanding on the Bilateral Assistance Program

The Memorandum implies Norway’s assistance in the form of the 30 million kunas' worth of non-repayable funds with the aim of offering support, through financial and technical assistance, for the sectors in need of upgrading in order to reach the European standards, as well as supporting Croatia’s efforts to speed up its EU accession process.

The document was signed on the Croatian part by MFAEI State Secretary Željko Kuprešak and on the Norwegian part by the interim chargé d'affaires at the Norwegian Embassy in Zagreb, Erik Grondahl.

Both sides pointed out the very good relations between the Kingdom of Norway and the Republic of Croatia, expressing hope that the signed Memorandum will provide additional incentive for the further strengthening of mutual co-operations.
