Croatian and Danish governments sign Implemental Agreement on 2008-2010 Pre-Accession Aid for Croatia

The Government of the Republic of Croatia and the Government of the Kingdom of Denmark signed on 12 November 2007 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration the Implemental Agreement on the 2008-2010 Pre-Accession Aid for Croatia

Said Agreement is an international act following the recently signed Agreement on the general terms for the Implementation of Denmark’s Bilateral Assistance to Croatia. The Implemental Agreement sets up an institutional framework for the continuation of Denmark’s pre-accession aid programme for Croatia entitled “Public Sector Capacity Building”, for the period from 1 January 2008 until 30 June 2010, for the implementation of which Denmark has allocated 12 mil. Danish krones (11.8 mil. kunas).

The Agreement was signed on behalf of the Croatian Government by State Secretary for Organisation, Development and Management Željko Kuprešak and on behalf of the Danish Government by Danish Ambassador to Croatia Berno Kjeldsen.

State Secretary Kuprešak expressed gratitude to the Danish side for the overall assistance, which is of great importance in the pre-accession period, when Croatia is continuously working on adopting the European standards, build capacities, and conduct the public administration reform.
