Croatian Ambassador to Argentina Mira Martinec handed credentials to Argentinean vice-president

Croatian Ambassador to the Argentinean Republic Mira Martinec handed 21 November in Buenos Aires her credentials to Argentinean Vice-President Daniel Osvaldo Scioli, thereby officially assuming the duty of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Croatia to the Argentinean Republic

The two confirmed the existence of good and friendly relations between their countries, expressing wish for further improvement in political, economic and cultural co-operation, and pointing out the importance of the large Croatian community in Argentina.

Vice-President Scioli expressed interest for Croatian progress in the pre-accession negotiations with the EU. Ambassador Martinec communicated the Croatian Government’s wishes that the Argentinean Government’s high officials visit Croatia. Vice-President Scioli congratulated the ambassador and wisher her success in heading the Croatian diplomatic mission.

After the handing of the credentials, Ambassador Martinec laid down the wreath at the memorial of the founder of the Argentinean state, General San Martin.
