Croatia’s chairmanship over RACVIAC steering committee ends

Croatia’s one-year chairmanship over MAG (Multinational Advisory Group), the steering committee of RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation, ended on 10 October

Croatia’s one-year chairmanship over MAG (Multinational Advisory Group), the steering committee of RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation, ended on 10 October. The MAG chairperson during this period was Assistant Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Batistić-Kos.

RACVIAC has grown from a trust-building and armament control project into relevant regional security organization. During Croatia’s MAG chairmanship, numerous successful programmes have been implemented, the organization’s budget has been stabilized, and the level of cooperation with international organizations has been described as very high. A joint interest was expressed that RACVIAC should stay focused on the topics important to Southeast Europe, taking into account the Euro-Atlantic aspirations of its countries.

In her closing address, Batistić-Kos underlined the importance of all Southeast European countries’ joining RACVIAC with the aim of creating an all-inclusive platform for regional dialogue and further stabilization of the region.
