The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia is doing everything it possibly can in order to peacefully resolve the situation of the hijacked ship "Benty" with a Croatian crew of seven, and that Croatian seamen be safe.

With regard to the interpretations in the press which attribute the ownership of the ship to the Kingdom of Denmark and other countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs draws attention to the fact that "Benty" sails under the flag of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and that it is owned by Societe Navale Guineene BP 522, Conackry 1353, Republic of Guinea.
