Foreign and European Affairs Minister Gordan Grlić Radman and Head of the Central Government Office for Croats Abroad Zvonko Milas participated in the 15th session of the Croatian-Hungarian committee for the implementation of a Croatian-Hungarian agreement on the protection of the Hungarian minority in Croatia and the Croat minority in Hungary.
"Over the past three years a lot has been done to improve the financial, educational and cultural status of minorities both in Hungary and in Croatia. Croatia and Hungary are the best European example of cooperation," Grlić Radman told the press ahead of the session.
Milas underscored that the Croat and Hungarian minorities enjoy a high level of minority rights in line with the highest European standards, making it a true European example of successful cooperation. He recalled that a dormitory for Hungarian students was opened in Osijek two weeks ago and that a Croatian educational centre was opened in Szombathely.
Grlić Radman is leaving today for Hungary, where he will meet with his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto.
