Croatia condemns Russia’s annexation of Ukrainian oblasts

Croatia condemns in the strongest terms the illegal and fake referendums held in four Ukrainian regions as well as the decision that those regions will become part of the Russian Federation.
 
Croatia condemns Russia’s decision on the integration of the Ukrainian oblasts of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia in its system, considering it a gross violation of Ukraine’s territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence, as well as of the international law and the UN Charter.
 
Croatia considers the decision illegitimate, illegal and void, and does not recognise its political and legal effects.
 
Together with other EU member states and allies, Croatia will continue to provide all the necessary support to Ukraine in the reintegration of the occupied regions and the reestablishment of constitutional and legal order within its internationally recognised borders.
