First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić and Turkish Minister of EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Volkan Bozkir signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in European affairs

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić and Turkish Minister of EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Volkan Bozkir signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in European affairs.

After the signing ceremony, Pusić recalled that Croatia and Turkey had launched the negotiations on the same night from 3 to 4 October 2005.

“Croatia supports Turkey’s progress as well as its path towards the EU membership. We consider it beneficial to both sides. Today’s memorandum will facilitate continued cooperation in EU affairs and talks on the current topics of relevance to the region”, Pusić said.

“The signing of the memorandum is symbolic and shows Croatia and Turkey’s willingness to cooperate in said area, advance their bilateral relations and improve the European standards at home,” the minister said.

Pusić’s officials visit to Ankara ended with a meeting with President Erdogan.
