Consul Gerant at Croatian Consulate General to Subotica Ljerka Alajbeg visited Hosana addiction community

Consul Gerant at the Consulate General of the Republic of Croatia to Subotica, the Republic of Serbia, Ljerka Alajbeg, visited on 14 February 2008 the Hosana (Hosanna) addiction community, handing gifts to its wards on behalf of the Consulate General for their successful recovery

Ten odd youths from Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Macedonia are situated in Hosana, an affiliate society of Međugorje’s Milosrdnog oca (Merciful Father) community. The community, based on the work and prayers of its wards, was founded at the initiative of Reverend Marinko Stantić and is the first Catholic addiction community in Serbia.

After handing the gifts from Croatia, Consul Gerant Alajbeg talked with the wards, wishing them a successful fight against addiction. She also expressed hope for finding more donations necessary for the idea of future selling of agricultural products and sacral objects made by the wards, as well as for the survival of Hosana itself.
